Back to School offers

This blog post is probably only of interest to you if you are in the UK.

I went to my local Staples today to get a Duraclip folder and was excited to see some nice Back to School offers.

A lot of their normal stationery is overpriced, but some of the offers are fantastic.

You get 10 Staedtler Noris, plus an eraser and a sharpener for £1.50. I also got some Washi tape and Lego erasers on clearance for 50p.

Stabilo’s move easyergo mechanical pencil offer

This post might be of interest if you live in the UK. Tesco does have a few Back to School offers at the moment, including Stabilo’s move easyergo mechanical pencil for only 87p (~$1.34, ~€1.05) ..but only for the right-handed version. The left-handed version is quite a bit more expensive (£3, ~$4.62, ~€3.64 ..does this count as left-handed discrimination?)

Dave has a review of Stabilo’s move easyergo mechanical pencil.

One-off production Pelikan key rings

This might be of interest for readers who like Pelikan:
Niche Pens just sent an email to their customers, telling them about one-off production Pelikan key rings. They will be giving them away to customers who buy pens from the Souverän or Ductus range. Unfortunately I was not able to find a photo of the key rings on their web site.

Last December employees from The Pen Shop in the Trafford Centre (Manchester, UK) told me that they will have offers on Pelikan pens After Christmas / New Year. I have not seen Pelikan pens there since. Instead they seem to focus on cheaper brands (Their choice of Pelikan pens in this particular outlet was never very big anyway). The Pen Shop is however still selling Pelikan pens on their web site, other outlets might do as well.
