£10,000 per night, including pencils

If you want a holiday in style (and with nice pencils!) check out the Grand Resort in Bad Ragaz, featured in the BBC TV series Amazing Hotels.

A night there can set you back £10,000, but this will get you 600 m² of floor space and some nice pencils: You get three Caran d’Ache Edelweiss pencils in HB, a Staedtler Mars plastic eraser and a Pelikan ruler.

Luckily, these days the Caran d’Ache Edelweiss pencil is much easier to find than in 2012 when I did a review here on Bleistift – There seem to be several online shops inthe USA and in the UK selling this pencil now.

Season Seven of French police procedural and legal drama series Engrenages (English: Spiral) doesn’t disappoint when it comes to the Staedtler Noris. In a previous blog post I showed the judge’s (juge Roban’s) Staedtler Noris and the police’s Staedtler Tradition. This time the protagonist, police officer Laure Berthaud, played by Caroline Proust, is using a Staedtler Noris. Good choice!

No stationery permitted

Schools are slowly opening up again here in the UK, despite the bad Covid-19 related figures, especially in England.

To protect the children some measures have been taken. Unfortunately, this includes a ‘no stationery’ rule.

Perfume pencils

Who would have thought… These days you can even get perfume pencils. The name made me curious, so I had a closer look ..but I think perfume pens would have been a better name. They seem to be plastic cased and come with a cap.

These perfume pencils actually remind me of Staedtler’s textsurfer gel ^[1]I ordered them in the past, including from Japan, because they had some different colours available over there. They are really nice. . I wonder whether the core is of a similar consitency.
