Description: Officially a toothbrush holder this item makes a great pencil pot, too.

Price: £2.50 in the UK. €2.99 in Germany$4.99 in the USA.

Material: A stoneware container with a rubberised surface. I bought the turquoise version.

Further information: IKEA’s Ekoln toothbrush holder has a rubberised surface. Sometimes these surfaces can turn nastily sticky over the years. I hope IKEA did a better job than many other companies, but only time will tell. The $4.99 version from IKEA USA is available in different colours.

Pencil Pot Of The Month – May 2017

Description: A plastic container, used to hold pencils, in this case the famous four Fs

Price: not sure

Material: Plastic

Further information: Our twentieth pencil pot of the month is a plastic container that used to be the lid of a fitness band packaging. It is being used upside down, i.e. with the opening at the top. You can see that the writing on the back is upside down.

Further information: A cardboard note organiser from Lidl UK. The pencil pot part can be folded out, so it is possible to fold it all up in a space saving way.

Further information: My employer has an Open Day today, so I’m at work1 and have just noticed that the table next to ours has pencils as freebies (we have luggage tags, ball point pens etc) that are presented in a nice mug.
