Stabilo’s move easyergo mechanical pencil offer

This post might be of interest if you live in the UK. Tesco does have a few Back to School offers at the moment, including Stabilo’s move easyergo mechanical pencil for only 87p (~$1.34, ~€1.05) ..but only for the right-handed version. The left-handed version is quite a bit more expensive (£3, ~$4.62, ~€3.64 ..does this count as left-handed discrimination?)

Dave has a review of Stabilo’s move easyergo mechanical pencil.

  1. I didn’t notice that in my local Tesco, but I did see that they were selling 10 Staedtler Noris HB pencils, bundled with a Mars eraser and a cheap but functional sharpener for 3GBP.

I’ll have to take another look in there (4 Stabilo Boss highlighters for 2GBP was another good deal).

  2. Is it possible that Tesco is clearing old stock? The new variant of that pencil is named differently – fortunately Stabilo has changed the weird name ” ’s move easyergo” to “EASYergo”.

  3. Thats a crazy difference in price.
Actually down my way normal retail is about GBP 6 or 7, so 0.87 is mind-boggling.

  4. Thank you for your kind comments!

Stationery Traffic, I hope that this offer is available in all Tescos, but in the past I noticed that these offers do not last very long. Once they sold a pack of 10 Helix Oxford pencils plus eraser plus sharpener for 63p!

Gunther, I saw a supermarket in Germany clearing stock, too. The price was however not nearly as good (€3).

Kiwi-D, £ 6 or £ 7 is also the normal price here in the UK. I have seen it reduced to something like £3 before, but seeing it for 87p was a first. Needless to say that I couldn’t resist… 🙂

  5. The Staedtler pack has been around for a while now and the same pack is available in Ryman’s (the stationery chain) at a £1 more – but that may be a back to school offer.

And I’d say this was definitely anti-leftism! Can we sue under the Equality Act?
